Meet My Latest Project: Sangre de Yeti — Westcliffe’s Happy, Bewildered Vlogger

By KC Stark, Man on the Street

Living in Westcliffe and Silver Cliff, Colorado, I’m constantly inspired by the beauty of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, our small-town spirit, and the characters — real and imagined — that make this valley so unique.

Recently, I decided to bring one of those characters to life as my latest creative project: Sangre de Yeti, a stocky, gorilla-faced yeti with bright blue eyes, a cool blue skin tone, and his ever-present cowboy hat.

Building Sangre with AI

This project is also my own experiment in creativity. I’ve been working with tools like ChatGPT, VEO, and Flow to design, script, and even visualize Sangre’s adventures.

  • With ChatGPT, I refine his personality, his dialogue, and his worldview — making sure he always sounds like a 20-something vlogger who’s excited by everything he sees.

  • With Flow, I break down each adventure into cinematic scenes, written like a storyboard so the story can be filmed as a short reel.

  • With VEO, I can render Sangre in a realistic, gorilla-inspired Yeti form — stocky, shaggy, and somehow cuddly — as if he really walked out of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and into town.

It’s my first time using AI this way, and honestly? It feels like learning a new creative instrument. Like being a movie director. The language--the tools help me take the energy of our community and give it a fresh, shareable shape that can reach people far beyond Custer County.

Why Sangre Matters

For me, Sangre de Yeti is more than a fun character — he’s a way to celebrate Westcliffe, Silver Cliff, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains through a new lens. He reminds us that what we see every day — the starry skies, the small-town grocery store, the smell of Tony’s pizza, the sound of live music — can feel extraordinary to someone experiencing it for the first time.

And just like Sangre, I’m on my own adventure: using AI storytelling tools to bring something fresh and creative to our valley. This is my first attempt, and I’m excited to see where it goes. It's very much like learning a foreign language!

So if you’re curious too, follow along. Who knows — you might just run into Sangre de Yeti at the next open mic in Silver Cliff. And if you see him on stage with his cowboy hat and iPhone, don’t be surprised when you hear that legendary THUD of a real mic drop.

Subscribe on YouTube to keep up with his small-town adventures — and join me as we explore what happens when a mountain Yeti discovers the magic of Westcliffe, Colorado.
